Fit4Kidz Class Information

 

Looking for a way to keep your kids active? Gymnastics/tumbling offers a fun way to be active, build strength, increase flexibility, improve coordination, and gain self-confidence. No matter your age or experience level we can help find the right class for you!

Mommy Daddy & Me - Ages 18 months to 3 years

Level: Beginner

Class Length: ½ hour 

This format gives mom, dad, or both the opportunity to take class with their child. The class focuses on developing gross motor skills, coordination, and balance. During this class your child will be introduced to gymnastics equipment including bars, beam, trampoline, and tumble track. We also incorporate wedges, barrels, and obstacle courses to make this class lots of fun!

Ballet/Tumbling Combo – Ages 3 to 6

Level: Beginner

Class Length: 1 hour 

We are excited to offer an introduction to ballet and tumbling class with accomplished ballerina Lissa Evans. This class includes ½ hour of ballet and ½ hour of tumbling. This class focuses on basic ballet positioning, creativity through movement, and tumbling fundamentals. This is a great way to improve balance, coordination, strength, and flexibility. Lissa LOVES little ones so it’s sure to be lots of fun!!

Tiny Tots - Ages 3 to 4

Level: Beginner

Class Length: 1 hour

This is a beginner level class that focuses on developing gross motor skills such as skipping and hopping and tumbling fundamentals including somersaults, headstands, and cartwheels. This class also includes time on balance beam, bars, and trampoline! 

Flip Floppers - Ages 4 to 5

Level: Beginner

Class Length: 1 hour

This is a beginner level class that focuses on developing gross motor skills such as skipping and hopping and tumbling fundamentals including somersaults, headstands, cartwheels, bridges, and backbends. This class also includes time on balance beam, bars, and trampoline! 

Boys Intro to Tumbling - Ages 5 to 12

Level: Beginner

Class Length: 1 hour

This is a beginner level class that focuses on developing gross motor skills such as skipping and hopping and tumbling fundamentals including somersaults, headstands, handstands, cartwheels, bridges, and backbends. This class also includes time on trampoline! 

Gymnastics Level 1 - Ages 6 and up

Level: Beginner

Class Length: 1 ½ hours

This is a beginner level class that includes 1 hour dedicated to floor work and the last ½ hour for introduction to balance beam, uneven bars, and vault. Throughout the session your child will learn routines on all four events and then have the opportunity to participate in one or both of our in-house gymnastics meets that take place at the end of the fall session! 

 

Tumbling skills learned at this level include somersaults, cartwheels, roundoffs, headstands, handstands, backbends, kick overs, and handstand to bridge.

Gymnastics Level 2 

Requirements: cartwheel, back bend, and handstand to bridge

Class Length: 1 ½ hours

This class is a progression from level 1. This class includes 1 hour dedicated to floor work and the last ½  hour to progress skills on balance beam, uneven bars, and vault. Throughout the session your child will learn routines on all four events and then have the opportunity to participate in one or both of our in-house gymnastics meets that take place at the end of the fall session! 

 

Tumbling skills learned at this level include one-handed cartwheels, back walkovers, standing up your bridge, and beginning front walkovers.

Gymnastics Level 3 

Requirements: good running roundoff, back walkover, and handstand to bridge stand it up

Class Length: Tumbling only-1 ½ hours

                           Tumbling with balance beam, uneven bars, and vault-2 hours

This class is a progression from level 2. This class dedicates 1 ½ hours to floor work and has an OPTIONAL last ½ hour to progress skills on balance beam, uneven bars, and vault. Anyone who opts to take the last ½ hour will learn routines on all four events and then have the opportunity to participate in one or both of our in-house gymnastics meets that take place at the end of the fall session! 

 

Tumbling skills learned at this level include front walkovers, front handsprings, back handsprings, side ariels, and more!

Gymnastics Level 4/5/6 

Requirements: front handspring, standing back handspring, and roundoff three back handsprings

Class Length: Tumbling only-1 ½ hours

                           Tumbling with balance beam, uneven bars, and vault-2 hours

This is an advanced tumbling class with 1 ½ hours dedicated to floor work and an OPTIONAL last ½ hour to progress skills on balance beam, uneven bars, and vault. Anyone who opts to take the last ½ hour will learn routines on all four events and then have the opportunity to participate in one or both of our in-house gymnastics meets that take place at the end of the fall session! 

 

Tumbling skills learned at this level include back tucks, layout step outs, front ariels, front tucks, twisting, and more!

Teen Tumbling- Ages 12 and up

Level: Beginner

Class Length: 1 hour

This class is geared towards older students interested in learning beginning level gymnastics skills. Class will start with basic tumbling fundamentals including cartwheels, roundoffs, handstands, and back bends and progress to more advanced skills including back walk overs, front walkovers, front handsprings, back handsprings, and more!

Private Lessons

Whether you are looking to learn a specific skill or just want some one-on-one training, we offer private lessons to help you get where you need to be! Private lessons are scheduled on an individual basis with the instructor of your choice and can be either ½ hour or 1 hour long.
